MaiaCare
My roles: Researched and wrote science-based articles; sourced related online written material and videos for the app user; worked with Content Director to establish tone and language level for the app.
The project:
When he learned that 10,000 Americans turn 65 every day, entrepreneur Dan Cerutti decided that caregivers were going to need help–and a lot of it. He founded the MaiaCare caregivers’ app (mobile only), an interactive platform where caregivers could get professional help with all aspects of their role.
Dan hired me to provide content in three categories for the app’s Library section: legal, financial, and caregiving. Thus, my article topics range from how to help the “caree” write their advance directives to how to set up various types of financial trusts, and from setting boundaries within caregiving to helping with home dialysis. You can find my legal and financial articles under my Business and Legal menu item. This page features samples of articles from the caregiving category.
